‘The Good Sheet’ (est. 2015) is a boutique Australian bedding brand bringing us fabulous classics & top quality products. Kamila Scholz is the founder and I can honestly say the quality of her range is amazing … and I know because I have had the privilege of testing out their products.
” I just wanted something simple, beautiful, that didn’t cost a fortune, and create something that I knew was great quality. I couldn’t find it, so I thought why not create it myself? … and here we are, one year later with ‘The Good Sheet’ – nothing but luxury, long-staple Egyptian cotton, with simple, clean lines to suit men and women alike, and as we work directly with the manufacturer we can keep our prices affordable. No middlemen or high retail markups. We try to make it easy by offering sets with or without the flat sheet as so many people don’t use one. “ Kamila shares with me.
Inspiration for her range is drawn from all things minimal and she loves Scandinavian design (how divine is that striped quilt cover above), and the launch range consists of three basic solid colours and two stripe variations. While stating she will be expanding on this range, the brand will always be adhering to the ‘less is more’ mantra and she also loves their ‘symmetry and geometric design’ of all things Scandi.
Does Kamila have a favourite from ‘The Good Sheet’ launch range ?
She admits to having a love of pinstripes, but she also says she ‘loves the shade of grey we have with the Stone grey. It is a constant feature on my bed as it’s that perfect mid-grey, not too cool, not too warm – it’s just right!’ … I agree!
With such a saturated market in bedding and linen, Kamila found that “there was space there for a product that fits in between much of the current offering of either cheap and poor quality product or high end, but with a high price tag. There wasn’t a lot covering the middle ground of premium, luxury product at an affordable price. A good set of quality sheets helps you sleep better and we all know that a good sleep is really the key to everything and something that should be accessible to more than just a lucky few.”
I can certainly say, now that I have tried and tested her products, that their quality is fantastic! They wash up really well, and the top sheets are so generous, plenty of room to tuck them in at the sides … a pet hate of mine with top small’ish top sheets!
Their bedding is made from premium long-staple Egyptian Cotton, long recognised as a material which makes for superior sheets. By working directly with the manufacturer and only offer to the retail market, keeping prices affordable. Aesthetically, the range is minimal, with simple clean lines to appeal to men and women, not to mention timeless designs. All of ‘The Good Sheet’ range are made from fabric which is Oeko Tex certified to be free of harmful chemicals, and manufactured in Israel.
Their sheets are so light, crisp and soft – and get better with each wash! They are so confident about their product that they invite you to sleep on them for 100 nights and if you don’t love them – send them back! They will even cover the postage … now that’s a good deal, which I guarantee no one who sleeps between their sheets will ever do!
